Beginning of Week 3

Okay!  I have finished my first 2 weeks, I have 1 week to go!  I am very excited to start eating certain foods again... like Eggnog.  And Bacon.  I don't really care about the grains, like pastas and breads, etc, though I do miss banana bread, thanks to having made it the other day and seeing it in the house lol.  I have this timed just right to be able to eat a lot of the food served at Christmas.  There is usually ham, and green bean casserole, and this really yummy salad that my sister in law makes with bacon and cheese and tiny broccoli pieces.  In the meantime though, I'm doing really well with my diet. I cheated a little on Monday because I ate a couple of potato chips and drank a couple of sips of soda.  I don't think the chips would have done a whole lot, but the soda is what I think pushed it over the edge and I didn't lose anything the next day (though I didn't gain either, thankfully).  It's amazing how one little extra tidbit of food can change the course of your weight loss!

I went shopping with my Uncle for Christmas yesterday, and was worried I wouldn't lose again, because I didn't drink enough water.  I brought my water bottle with me, but forgot to fill it up when it was empty.  I ate all the right foods, though, and ended up losing another pound by this morning, bringing my weight loss total to 10.5 pounds.  Yay!!

Today's Weight: 152.  3 Pounds to go to break into the 140's!

I have realized that if I still have 10-15 pounds to go by the time I finish this diet, then I can do it again when I get done with maintenance.  I want to be down to 135 at the most.  From now, that's 17 pounds.  I can lose as much as 4 pounds this week and still have enough to lose by the time I start another round, so I am feeling less discouraged about not losing the entire amount this round.  I realized that a 30 pound weight loss in 21 day cycle was not realistic.  But a 14-15 pound weight loss is completely realistic.  So I have a happier outlook :D
